Handover day is the best a floor will ever look, unless someone is told how to keep it that way. So every handover of ours comes with one page on exactly that.

The one-page routine

What the floor is, what it was sealed with, and when that seal needs renewing. What to clean it with, and the two or three products that will ruin it. Felt under furniture from the first day.

Most damage is done in the first week, moving in.

2.0

When it needs more

Every finish has a maintenance interval, and it is cheaper to keep to it than to catch up. We come back on that interval for clients who would rather not think about it.

Reseal on the interval, not when it looks tired.
