Forestry CommissionA site that is still in the ground when the rains arrive loses weeks. Trenches flood, deliveries bog down and concrete waits for a dry day. So we plan every job backwards from November.
Out of the ground, under a roof
Two dates matter more than the finish date: foundations complete, and roof on. With the roof on before the first storms, everything inside carries on dry while the weather does what it likes.
Roof on before the rains: the date the programme hangs from.
The finish date is decided by the day you start digging.
What it means for you
If you want to be in by the middle of next year, the conversation starts now, while the ground is hard. Tell us the date you need and we will tell you, honestly, when the first peg has to go in.
